If you love architecture and great design, chances are you’ve heard of Kevin McCloud — the much-loved host of Grand Designs and long-time advocate for smart, sustainable architecture.

Back in 2012, Paul from PdD Building Design had the chance to attend the Green Build Expo in London, an event all about sustainable housing and eco-friendly building design. And who should he run into but Kevin himself!

They chatted about Australian architecture and all things sustainability, social housing, and the future of energy-efficient homes — with Kevin sharing his trademark mix of insight, humour, and passion for good design.

Of course, Paul couldn’t resist asking for an autograph (and Kevin was more than happy to oblige).

Meeting Kevin a fun coincidence. The conversation was a reminder that great design is always evolving. As we learn more about how the design of buildings impact our environment and our wellbeing, we have the opportunity to know better, design smarter, and do better.

At PdD Building Design, that idea sits at the heart of everything we do. Through thoughtful, sustainable architecture, we aim to bring people together, improve quality of life, and contribute — even in small ways — to a healthier planet for the future.
